Feedback Friday~ Knitting and Knots
If you get my Friday newsletter, you most likely read Midge’s question about tips for the first time knitter (if you don’t get my FREE newsletter be sure and subscribe via the sticky note in the upper right corner). Read below to find out my question for you! Molly
Dear Midge,
Well, you caught me. This is one of those times I’m sitting in the exact spot as you are! I too have tried and tried knitting only to end up with the same results. I went out and purchased a circle knitter too! Great minds think alike, don’t you think? I have managed to make some cute hats for the little girls, a scarf or two and even a baby blanket using the different types of “knitting guides.” For me, it takes the confusion right out of knitting and I can still end up with a cute project.
The only thing I have done differently is designate an unused tote bag for my knitting projects. When I need to put down my knitting I try and remember to tuck it away into the tote bag. Do you think that may help with your projects? An out of sight out of mind type of thing?
I think we should ask our readers to weigh in too!
Love ya, Molly
What are your kitting tips for first time knitters like Midge and myself? We’d love any tips you have to share!

Join Ravelry.com and lose yourself in all the patterns! Oh the possibilities! Check out all the free learn-to-knit videos on YouTube if you are a visual learner! Dishcloths are a great way to learn new concepts, but if you want to knit socks, go for it! The number one thing I had to learn when I learned to knit was to relax! I was so stressed, I had to literally tell myself to relax and losses up! Now, several years later, the moment I puck up my needles, I am relaxed!
Molly says: Thank you for sharing those resources! It seems I may have to work a bit harder on the “just relax” part of things. Practice makes perfect, right?
