I love finding things that are frugal AND make my life easier! I’ve known about the wonders of baking soda for quite awhile now but the more I use it the more I’m in awe. I began using baking soda for things around the house such as a laundry booster, refrigerator deodorizer and as an aid to heartburn. Then I branched out a little and began using it mixed with vinegar for cleaning (a chemical free cleaning product!), baking soda and boiling water to unclog drains and I even brushed with it a time or two when I ran out of toothpaste.

When looking at free apps to put on my smart phone, I ran across one that gave me tip after tip on using baking soda. It was then that I fell in love. We just moved into a new home and I’m noticing more and more marks on the walls as the days go by. The walls are painted with flat paint and as you may (or may not) know, flat paint isn’t the easiest to clean. Guess what? A little baking soda sprinkled on a damp rag is cleaning my marked up walls without fail!  Last time I was shopping at my local warehouse-type store, I also discovered a large bag of baking soda.
